Christmas Movies 2022 (Part 7)
Serendipity
A favoured romcom watched mainly during christmas as I tend to think of it as fitting for this time of year. John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale are perfectly cast as two people fated for eachother but only at the right time and the movie has great supporting actors.
Scrooged
A retelling of the famous novel with Bill Murray playing the "Scrooge" character as a major network tv executive driven by the need for power and fame and neglecting those around him. One of his best performances and again a great supporting cast.
A Christmas Mystery
A century ago Santa's magical jingle bells fall off his sleigh and brought prosperity to the town of Pleasant Bay where they were found. Three days before the "ringing of the bells" ceremony they are stolen and and the prosperity of the town falters. The custodian of the museum is arrested but his young son and neighbours daughter investigate the mystery in the time honoured tradition.
