Babylon 5 20th Anniversary Conventions: The Fan Experience

My package from B5 Books arrived today and includes a bumper collection of panels and interviews with the Babylon 5 cast compiled during the recent Phoenix Comic-Con and Space City Con in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the show. The set consists of two paperback books with transcripts from the various talks and seven discs of mp4 video with a bonus disk of mp3 audio content.

Babylon 5 at Twenty

My copy of this quite spectacular and quite expensive publication arrived from the states today, to say it's a work of art in itself is an understatement but once you open the hefty tome and see some of the great pictures and narrative you realise for the Babylon 5 fan it's nirvana:)

Babylon 5 - 20th Anniversary Convention Memorial

It brings it all home yet we have the show and for those that have past and for all of us that will it will endure.

I want might even say need and I already know of one person picking their copy up from Phoenix:)

Michael O'Hare RIP

Michael O'Hare died of complications from a heart attack yesterday (Friday 28th),
he was 60 years old. Michael was born in Chicago and favoured stage work in his professional
life but perhaps has become more well known for his single season (plus a couple of extra episodes)
in the science fiction series Babylon 5 playing Commander Jeffrey Sinclair.
To this day his portrayal of a damaged commander dealing with his past and his current
responsibilities sets the standard ahead of some excellent performances from Avery Brooks (DS9)
and Louis Ferreira (SGU) in similar roles.
Condolences to his friends and family and thanks for the contribution to one of my favourite shows.

Echoes of All Our Conversations

I ordered the first volume of this six part series and my copy from Cafepress (US) arrived today. The book is a sturdy paperback with nice clean print and is very smart, there is also a bonus CD interview with Peter Jurasik and Andreas Katsulas. Volume 1 is signed by Peter Jurasik.

Claudia Christian recorded a small video when she got her copy of the book...
