Polar Lights - Battle Cruiser

You know when you are just browsing an online store on the off chance you see something you fancy, well this is the result of one of those times.
The Polar Lights Romulan Battle Cruiser is a 1:1000 scale model although it turned into a more Klingon version with the paint scheme and decals. Pretty easy to put together although far from a perfect fit piece wise, no doubt a more experienced modeller would have had the tools and skill to turn this out to perfection but I'm quite pleased.

Century Wings SR-71

SR-71 Blackbird U.S.A.F 9th SRW 61-7958 1990

When I first saw this model I pretty much fell in love, the SR-71 has always been a firm favourite of mine but the price was always just that little too high. That changed when KH Norton whose mailing list I am on mentioned that had a cancelled order and were offering limited stock first come first served and at a discount, click and paid within minutes:)

Enterprise NCC 1701 E

I wasn't planning on getting the Enterprise E from Diamond Select / Art Asylum but would you accept that I needed something to bump up the price and get the free delivery ?
No I didn't think so :)
A very well built and slick looking model, a slight edge on the Enterprise A and original models and a much better stand which hasn't always been a bugbear of mine.

Bird Of Prey

I've been keeping my eye on the UK market for some of the Diamond Select / Art Asylum Star Trek ship models since you can't source direct from the US store. Prices can vary dramatically which I guess has a lot to do with supply and demand so when I saw the Klingon Bird of Prey for £26 I snapped it up and well it was well worth the money.
The model is large and heavy, very good build quality and the added sound and lighting effects are icing on the cake. My only issue and the same goes for my first Enterprise model is that I would have liked a more solid stand, infact I've looked into third party stands but they are comparatively expensive.
